MAKE UP SCRUBBIES CROCHET PATTERN
MATERIALS:
• Cotton yarn (I used - drop Paris Aran weight yarn).
• 4,5 mm. Crochet hook (hook 0,5 size lower than recommended on
the yarn label).
• Darning needle.
• Scissors.
ABBREVIATIONS (us terms):
• Ch – chain
• Sl.st - slip stitch
• Mgr. - magic ring
• Sc – single crochet
• Ps – puff stitch
SIZING:
• If you are using Aran weight yarn as I did then it creates approx. 9,5cm. Large scrubbie and approx. 6,5cm. Small scrubbie.
DIRECTIONS:
• Puff stitch – (yarn over, insert your hook into the stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop) repeat 3x in total into the same stitch. After you
should have 7 loops on the hook, then yarn over and pull through all 7
loops, chain 1 to close the stitch.
NOTE: you can zoom in all the pictures.
Pattern:
Large crochet scrubbie:
ROUND 1:
• Make a magic ring and chain 1.
• Do 11 SC into the magic ring.
• Join your work with a sl.st.
ROUND 2:
• Chain 2
• Make puff stitches into every stitch around (you should have 12 puff
stitches in total).
• Join your round with a sl.st.
NOTE: last puff stitch placed into the space created from sl.st. In round 1. First picture shows your first puff stitch, and the second picture shows where your 12th puff stitch should be placed.
ROUND 3:
• Chain 1
• Skip the next St. And make SC in each stitch around (you should have
23 SC).
• Join your round with a sl.st.
NOTE: first picture shows the stitch you are going to start crochet in this round, and the second picture shows how this round should look at the end.
ROUND 4:
• Chain 2
• Make puff stitches into every stitch around (last puff stitch placed
into the space created from sl.st in round 3) (at the end you should
have 24 puff stitches).
ROUND 5:
• Chain 1.
• Skip the next St. And make SC in each stitch around (you should have 47 SC).
• Join your round with a sl.st.
• Cut longer tail, fasten off and weave in the end.
Small Crochet scrubbie pattern:
ROUND 1:
• Make a magic ring and chain 1.
• Make 8 puff stitches into the magic ring.
• Join your work with a sl.st.
ROUND 2:
• Make a sl.st into the next stitch (the space between two puff stitches
of previous round).
• Chain 1 to start puff stitch.
• Do 2 puff stitches in this stitch and in each space around (you should
have 16 puff stitches).
• Join your round with a sl.st.
NOTE: first picture shows where you need to start crochet, and the second picture shows finished round.
ROUND 3:
• Chain 1.
• Skip the next stitch and make SC into the next and each stitch
around (you should have 31 SC).
• Join your work with a sl.st.
• Cut longer tail, fasten off and weave in the end.
